May D pays visit to Charly Boy ahead of show in Abuja



Just like Iyanya did a couple of months ago, by paying an official visit to the area father, Charly Boy ahead of his show in Abuja, May D, has also emulated Iyanya.

The 'Ile Ijo' crooner visited Charly Boy's New Wave Production office in Grawimpa yesterday May 21, to inform him on his album launch which will take place on Saturday 26, 2013 at the Thisday Dome, Abuja.

Nice to see that the boys are  seeking blessings from their elders.

Former MBGN '09,  GLORY Chukwu has been delivered of a bouncing baby girl. The beauty queen put to bed on Friday May 7, 2013 in the US.

Two Arik Air crew arrested in the UK for dug trafficking

 
The airline company distanced itself from drug trafficking.
The management of Arik Air has admitted that two of its crew members were arrested for allegedly possessing banned drugs suspected to be cocaine after one of its flight to the U.K.
The airline company promised to cooperate with British authorities investigating the the two cabin crew members.
The spokesman for the company, Adebanji Ola, said in a statement on Tuesday that Arik Air was co-operating fully with the U.K. authorities and all other concerned agencies in their investigations.
 “Arik Air remains committed to the fight against drug and illicit substances trafficking and will not tolerate the use of any of its aircraft or crew for the courier of banned items and substances,” he said.
The spokesperson said “Arik Air carries out very stringent checks on all members of staff and its travelling guests ahead of all flights.
“It will continue to focus its attention on measures to prevent the possibility of any future similar incidents.”
“Arik Air is a responsible Nigerian company always seeking to maintain and uphold the integrity and proud reputation of the nation.”
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency had earlier said that it would probe two Arik Air crew members allegedly found with cocaine at Heathrow Airport, London.

Marvin Crew to headline Big Brother Africa- The Chase opening ceremony



The crew of popular label, The Marvin will headline the 2013 Big Brother Africa-tag The Chase.

Don Jazzy, D'Prince and Wande Coal will be performing live at the opening ceremony of the biggest Africa reality show. The crew will be joined by Kenyan rap queen, STL and Makifizolo from South Africa.

The Big Brother Africa- The Chase which is the 8th edition of the reality show will kick off this Sunday, May 26, 2013, in South Africa.

The 28 contestants from across 14 Africa countries will be revealed to millions of ardent viewers on that day including Nigeria representative and their journey of a stay of 90 days in the house will begins.

Late singer, Goldie Harvey represented the country at the 7th edition tag Stargame but did not emerged a winner but the country in the past have had winners like Karen Igbo and Uti Nwanchukwu.

This year edition will be filled with twist and turn that the show have come to be known with. Contestants from diverse background, ethnic, cultural and personal believe will play a smart game with one another which will see a winner emerge at the end of the 90 days to win the cash prize of $300,000.

Five nabbed for exhuming corpses, selling human parts

 
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested five men for allegedly exhuming corpses and selling their parts for ritual purposes.
According to police authorities, the suspects –, Jamiu Adeleke, Ajibade Rafiu, Fatai Akiwowo, Kazeem Sanni and Agboola Kolawole – had at different times sold human parts in Owode, Ogun State.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, Ngozi Braide, said Adeleke was arrested by the police and through his confession, were able to apprehend the others.
She said, “On May 15, 2013, Adeleke was arrested by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad while he was trying to sell human hands for N21,000. Upon interrogation, he confessed that he bought the parts from Sanni at the cost of N6,000.

Chinua Achebe's body arrives Nigeria, state burial on May 23rd

The body of world reowned literary legend Chinua Achebe was brought back to the country earlier today. His remains arrived at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja from the UK, and it was received by government officials.  The body was then taken in a private plane to Enugu where it was welcomed by Achebe's elder brother, Augustine Achebe, state officers, family and friends in his hometown, Ogidi, Anambra state

The late icon will be given a state burial tomorrow May 23rd, 2013.
