SSS smashes Hezbollah terrorist cell in Kano
A combined team of the Joint Task Force (JTF), involving officers of the Nigerian Army and the Directorate of State Security (DSS), yesterday, confirmed that they have smashed a cell of a foreign terrorist organization, identified as Hezbollah in Kano and arrested some of its members who are operating in the country.
Daily Sun gathered that the smashing of the terror cell, which particularly shocked the Lebanese community in the state, equally led to the seizure of a large cache of weapons of mass destruction at a property located at No 3, Gaya Road, off Bompai Road, Kano. The said property, according to security officials, belonged to one Abdul Hassan Taher Fadlalla, a Lebanese national, who is currently out of the country.

According to report by TMZ, photos showing evidence that might lead to the conviction of South African paralympian, Oscar Pistorius murder of his model girfriend has surfaced online.
One of the photos shows the blood splatter toilet of the athlete popularly known as blade runner, the place where his girlfriend was reportedly shot through the door. There was pool of blood everywhere but with great amount of the blood pool by the toilet seat.

A couple returned home from the cinema to find a naked man had beaten their grandparents to death and was raping their two-year-old daughter.
Touch Chea, 71, and his wife, Sorn Sreap, 73, were found dead in Anchorage, Alaska, on Saturday night from significant blunt force injuries.
Police said both Sreap and the toddler were raped.

The grandfather who sells human head for N1000
According to the police, the suspect, who works at a cemetery in Epe area of the state, was arrested with a human skull.
Police sources said the suspect sold human parts for a living, adding that he had become notorious in the area for selling human parts.
It was learnt that the suspect was arrested following a report by a resident who saw him displaying a skull for sale.
The grandfather, who could not give his exact age, said he started selling human parts because he was poor and jobless.
He said, “I live at 2,Tungbehin Street, Epe. I have two children and I am a grandfather. I have always been poor all my life because I had no formal or informal education. I used to be a fisherman but when there were no longer fishes in rivers in my area, I became a gardener at Epe Local Government Secretariat

Boko Haram leader claims victory over Nigerian Army
LEADER of the violent Islamic sect, Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, on Tuesday claimed in a video that Nigerian soldiers had retreated from the ongoing military offensive against terrorism and that insurgents had sustained little damage, AFP reports.
The video marks the first public comments from Shekau since the military offensive which started on May 15 following the declaration of emergency rule in the stronghold of the sect, Borno, as well as Adamawa and Yobe states.
Shekau also reportedly called for foreign Islamists to join the fight against Nigeria in the video which AFP claimed was in its possession.
The AFP reports thus: Shekau’s whereabouts cannot be determined in the video, in which he is shown seated while dressed in camouflage with a turban, an AK-47 at his side.
His comments contradict statements from the military, which has claimed much success during the offensive, including the destruction of Boko Haram camps and dozens of arrests.
Ex - Minister's relation accused of killing live-in lover
A relation of a former Minister of Interior, Capt. Emmanuel Iheanacho (retd.), has been accused of killing his live-in lover.
The suspect, George Iheanacho, allegedly killed his 32-year-old partner, Regina James, the mother of his three children – two boys and a girl.
George was said to have killed Regina in their residence at 3, Calvary Street, Iyana Isasi, Lagos-Badagry Expressway in late April, 2013.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the accused, who worked in the ex-minister’s company, Genesis Worldwide Shipping Company, Apapa, on the fateful day, accused Regina, who had lived with him for six years, of unfaithfulness.
It was further learnt that subsequent argument over the accusation led to the suspect beating up Regina and in the process, she fell into a coma.
A source, who craved anonymity, said before Regina, believed to be from Afia-Nsit Urua Nko, in Nsit Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, could be rushed to the hospital, she had given up the ghost.
