Today,  President Mohammadu Buhari writes the Senate to confirmed the appointment of Professor Mahmood Yakubu, as the new Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC chairman and also the confirmation of five national INEC commissioners which include the former acting INEC chairman, Mrs Bala Zakari.

Professor Mahmood Yakubu, was yesterday announced as the new chairman of INEC by the federal government.

It would be recalled that the screening of the former governor was put on hold several times because petition brought against him, which include fraud allegations while he was the governor of Rivers State. And also a divide in the senate over is nomination.

Police arrest brother for killing two sisters and injuring their friend

A brother has been charged with killing his two sisters and injuring their friend in a shooting in Colerain Township early Wednesday.

Matthew A. Hayden, 21, has been charged with the murder of of Sarah and Elizabeth Hayden, and the attempted murder of their friend Joshua Hacker, as the group sat in their parents' minivan in the back of a home at 3455 Banning Road, according to court documents.

The sisters were pronounced dead at the home. Hacker was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center and is in stable condition, Colerain Township public information officer Jim Love said.

Police said the victims were all teens but their exact ages are not known.

Khloe Kardashian, Lamar Odom to give their marriage another try

Many would have expected it and others wouldnt have seen it coming.
Well, according to TMZ after Lamar Odom woke up from coma and began talking. He and Khloe talked about their troubled marriage and so decided to give it another chance.
They were said to have called of their divorce which has been sitting in a pile waiting to be called.
TMZ also reported that Khloe had vowed to be with Lamar all through the period of his recovery which will take months

Pastor sparks outrage on twitter for saying oral sex between couple is a sin

Yesterday, Nigerian twitter was set on fire due to an hashtag #SexualPerversion from an Abuja based female Pastor Sarah Omakwu, of Family Worship Center.

The pastor had posted a series of tweet on sexual rule couple should not engage in. Some of the tweet which are hashtag #SexualPerversion include that, couple who have oral sex have committed sin, couple who are only married in court, traditionally shouldn't have sex until they are married in church. Couple who are not married, should never engage in sex.

You trust Nigerians, their ire was set off, has many of them showed their disagreement with the pastor over some of the tweet.
