A 19-year-old Nigerian girl through her very impressive performance has emerged the youngest councillor of Brent Council in London, UK.
The teenager named Aisha Eniola, proved how equal she is to the task of becpoming a councillor of Brent Council during an earlier debate which preceeded the election.
She performed exceedingly well that she warmed her way into the hearts of residents in her ward. Read more after the cut...
Aisha polled 2,160 votes during the election, defeating her oppositions, Simon Erskine, of the Green Party, who polled 459 votes and Paul Fowler, of the Liberal Democrat, who got 313. The Labour Party for years has held on to Harlesden, which has remained one of the strongest wards in the Borough.
The youngster is now the youngest Councillor in Brent council and she hoped that she has inspire youths to participate in politics.
