Police nabs 12 human trafficker, rescue 55 children
Benue State Police command yesterday paraded 12 suspected human traffickers just as it rescued 55 children from them along Otukpo – Enugu road. The traffickers, according to the state Commissioner of Police, Adams Audu, were in the business of cajoling unsuspecting parents to release their children and wards to them with the assurance that they would give them better future.
Audu while parading the suspects yesterday said his men apprehended seven of the suspects travelling in a convoy of three mini buses on Monday at a check point on Otukpo highway while the remaining five were arrested from different locations in the state.
He noted that the eagle eyed security operatives discovered during their search of the intercepted vehicles a total of 55 persons, including 17 children between the ages of five and 17 years.
The police commissioner who gave the names of the seven suspected traffickers as Adekunle Adebisi, Odey Adogu, Ochefu Adokole, Edwin Onah, John Odum, Ubeh
Mike and Phillip Adema Adegu said upon interrogation, they confessed to the crime.
Others who were later apprehended include, a couple, Mr. and Mrs. Yamuer Maashin, Messrs Tarchill Tyotyev and Tyodoo Yamuer all of Kastina-Ala locality and the chief trafficker, Chigozie Amechi who operates from Port Harcourt, Abuja and Lagos.

UNN student found dead in hotel room in Lagos
A 300L student of the University of Nigeria (UNN), Florence Ugwu, has been found dead in an hotel room in a five star hotel Lagos State.
According to reports, Florence had lodge into the hotel with an unknown man a night before her unfortunate death. He corpse was discovered lying on the floor of the hotel room by a cleaner, who had come to clean the room the next day.
Police are still trying to unraveled the cause of her death as investigation still continues.
Please, ladies you have to be careful of people you meet especially on the internet. We are yet to come to term with the death of Cynthia Osokogu and now this.

The police in Imo State are now investigating how a 27 year old housewife, Mrs Njideka Okorie eloped with six months pregnancy and went into hiding where she was later delivered of a baby girl which she sold to one Agatha Okoronkwo at Isieka Ihiala in Anambra State for N100,000.
Saturday Sun gathered that Njideka has been married to Samuel Okorie , for over 10 years. The marriage was already blessed with four children while they were expecting the fifth child, the wife eloped with six months pregnancy from their home in Orlu, Imo State.
The housewife also fled her matrimonial home with the other four children
in March and returned four months after, precisely on July 5, 2013, with the four kids, but without the pregnancy of their fifth child.
