Ex- Banker Kills wife and hang himself in Ondo

Double tragedy it was over the weekend in Ondo state as a 47 year old Ex banker now a Taxi driver after ten years of marriage stabbed his former wife Amudat Oluwafunmilayo Lateef to death and thereafter committed suicide by hanging himself.
The marriage was blessed with five children before things fell apart between the couple who lived at Omoniyi quarters along Agbogbo area, along Owo-Benin-Akure expressway.
The deceased wife aged 45 who was a trader at Iloro market Akure and hails from Ijaraisin in Kwara state.
Also the late Jimoh who was formerly a baker hails from Osogbo in Osun state.
Report had it that the couple’s marriage had been estranged in the last two years with the husband threatening to kill the wife and also commit suicide.
Sources said that family members agreed that they should separate for a while to allow time heal their troubled marriage following alleged battering of the wife by Jimoh after their inability to reconcile them.

Rampage shooting in Santa Monica, Southern California

 

Shooting rampage has become  common site in the US maybe because of the law that allow the use of gun. Another one occurred yesterday noon in Santa Monica leaving four people dead, the lone rampaging man was shot to death by the police at Santa Monica College. Read the full detail from NY Times

 Four people were killed and five wounded on Friday morning as a gunman, dressed in black and carrying an assault rifle, strode across Santa Monica firing at people, cars, a public bus and buildings before being shot and killed by the police at the Santa Monica College Library, the authorities said.

Residents, who reported hearing gunshots and seeing a bus with its rear and side windows shattered by bullets, captured videos from the scene and posted updates to Twitte Lydia Viramontes, with her husband, Jose, and great-nephew Valente Casillas, was in a parking lot when she heard shots.

Actor Emeka Ike and President Jonathan chat at the Rhythm 'N' event

Emeka Ike was made a sports ambassador at the Rhythm 'N' Play event that was held on June 6th at the Velodrome of the Abuja National Stadium.

Rhythm N' Play is an initiative of the Nigeria Academicals Sport Committee(NASCOM), which was inaugurated by the Minister of Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, late last year.
