Ogun Monarch disgraced stripped and palace burnt by angry youths

The monarch of Olofin of Ado-Odo, Oba Lateef Adeniran Akanni was attacked by angry youth yesterday who stripped him naked and also burnt down his palace.

Information as it that the monarch has been having a running battle with members of his community who do not want him on the throne as their head despite a Supreme Court Judgement three years ago which comfirmed him as the Olofin Ado-Odo.

According to source the Oba was attacked when his sport ultility car was flagged down by some people and thinking he has to attend to them, he stopped but that was his mis doing because he was dragged down and punch on by aggrieved youth.

Another source as it that the monarch may have been attacked because he failed to pay a visit to a victim of a chieftency crisis that occured in the area leading to the youth anger being spun against him.

He is currently receiving treatment from the severed beating he suffered in the hands of the youth in an undisclosed hospital

Boston Marathon blasts 17 people in critical condition

17 out of 100 seriously injured people are now reported to be in critical condition from yesterday double blasts at the Boston Marathon with the death toll raising to three.

Two explosions occurred near the finishing line of the Boston Marathon causing lots of pandemonium. The twin explosions took place within 30 seconds of each other and according to onlooker at the City's Central Copley Square, who are watching the world's biggest marathon, the source was from a building.

Dino Melaye escapes assassination

Remember the Kogi ex-lawmaker Dina Melaye and alleged father of nollywood actress Bisi Ibidapo Obe baby father?

The news is that the former lawmaker yesterday escaped assassination attempt on his life yesterday evening in Abuja.

He was shot at by unknown gunmen at Abuja City's Central Business District on his way home. He was lucky to escape unhurt by the bullets but his car was hit by bullets.

The gunmen were said to had been driving a Golf car.

Mr Melaye is also an activist.

He is also reported to like women who are financially bouyant, hence the reason he had wanted to marry Mary Uloma, who according to source is a very comfortable lady.

Akiyesi after the wedding disruption posted on his facebook account that his wedding was retrogressing him, I wonder what he meant by that. He also claimed it has also made him more popular.

 

Ex Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to remain in prison despite winning appeal

The former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak, who was brought down from power due to the uproar in Egypt in 2011 will still remain in prison despite winning an appeal in which he asked for his released while awaiting trial.

An apppeal court granted him his appeal on Monday 15, 2013 which technically freeing him from involvement in the killing of non-violence protester in 2011.

But the former dictator will still be in prison in connection to other cases, he is being tried for.

A crowd in court on Sunday which heard the appeal erupted in jeers when the presiding judge Mustafa Hassan Abdullah leave the court.

There was also outburst by angry onlookers.

Pastor Adeboye Ok private jets for pastors

In an interview with a Aljazeera reporter, Mohammed Adow, the General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye said that there is nothing wrong with Pastors owning private jet. This is among the other questions asked the popular man of God.

Aljazeera’s Mohammed Adow, questioned the ownership of the palatial residences and the private jets by Nigerian church leaders, who he said had become wealthy through miracle preaching.

In response, Adeboye said a private jet was a necessity for him.
He said, “There are things you need, which you must have if you are to be efficient.”
Adow then said, “And a private jet is one of them?”

Adeboye replied, “If you have to oversee churches in 160 nations, you can’t do that on a bicycle.”
Earlier, Adow said many of the worshippers, who often number over half a million, flock to the Holy Ghost Congress service to seek a release from the harsh economic reality in the country.

“If the people have not been getting their miracles, by now, they would have stopped coming. If you listen to some of the testimonies, you will hear of miracles of healing, miracles of deliverance, miracles of child birth; miracles of success in academics etc,” Adeboye said.
