The sad incident occured yesterday Sept ember 23rd on Alaka/ Iponri Bridge on Rotimi Williams Road in Surulere. It was gathered that the driver of one of the busses of Lagos mass transit lost control of the bus and crashed into a late soldier, who was riding a motocycle with a female passenger.
The soldier was reported to have been dragged along the bridge by the bus and almost cut into half by the bus. The female passenger, who was riding with the soldier was thrown off the motorcycle by the impact of the collision and is said to be in a very critical conditionn before she was taken to the hospital.
An eyewitness, said the driver of the red popular bus was at a top speed, and while he got to a bad spot swerved off to avoid the bad spot but unfortunately pinned the soldier railing of the brigde. After seeing the damage, the Lagbus driver, was reported to have fled the scene.
