Ex-Super Eagles player Kanu Nwankwo's hotel sealed by LASEPA

An hotel belonging to former Super Eagles player, Kanu Nwankwo was among properties sealed by the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency over issues bothering on air and noise pollution.
According to reports, the hotel called Hardley Apartments located in Victoria Island was sealed alongside other hotels, mosques, churches over offences of air and noise pollution.

About 30 facilities were sealed by LASEPA and was  was carried out in places like Surulere, Victoria Island, Ketu, IKorodu and Ibeju-Lekki.
LASEPA in a statement said that it has contacted the owners of the facilities over the last one year but they failed to comply with its instructions.

"At the Hardley Apartments, it was noticed that the generators powering the hotel had large exhaust pipes facing the road.

The Director of Enforcement,Kayode Bello, ordered that one of the generators be tested, and it was discovered that it gave off thick gaseous emissions.

Bello said, “Even the sound is going to be more than 45 decibels at night. We want you to comply ─ that is the reason we are here. We have been on this for more than a year.”

Some of the other affected facilities include:Rain of Power and Miracles Ministry Church, Lekki; Christ Apostolic Church, Lekki; Duckland Hotels and Suites, Ikorodu; and Mela Rossa Club, Victoria Island
