Aurora theater Shooter James Holmes assualted in prison

Theater shooter James Holmes was assaulted by a fellow inmate in prison according to a spokesperson for the Colorado Department of Corrections.
Mark Daniels, 27, will be charged with assaulting Holmes and a correctional officer. The incident happened earlier this month in a hallway as Holmes and Daniels were being moved in the
prison where they're both housed.
Daniels lunged at Holmes and took a couple swings at him, but Holmes was not hurt. The correctional officer was not hurt either.

According to records from the Department of Corrections, Daniels is serving time for numerous felony convictions which include auto theft, and assault with a deadly weapon.
Holmes was found guilty on all charges in connection with the shooting at an Aurora movie theater in July 2012. Twelve people were killed and 70 others were injured. Jurors could not reach a unanimous decision to sentence Holmes to death, so he was sentenced to life in prison.
Just last month Holmes was transferred to the Colorado State Penitentiary in Canon City.
