Cosmopolitan magazine put on fire for calling the Kardashian / Jenner clan "Americas first family "

Cosmopolitan magazine featured the Kardashian / Jenner family as their 50th anniversary cover for their November issue and refer to them as Americas first family. After a sneak peep of the cover was viewed by many, it has been termed racist.
Many have aired the views on why the magazine decided to call the Kardashian / Jenner clan 'America's first family' when it's already known that the 'Obamas' are America's first family.'

The cover featuring, Kris, Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Kylieand Kendall was shot by Francesco Carrozzini...The magazine noticably did not feature Caitlyn, who has been officially accepted as a female...wonder why?
In a series of tweet, the Cosmopolitan magazine and the Kardashian family have been bashed by angry tweetphere, who have called Cosmopolitan's headline
racist.
