Pres. Jonathan reacts to Bauchi bombing

Over Friday night's bombing by the Boko Haram sect in the Bayan Gari area in Bauchi State, President Goodluck Jonathan through his Special Adviser (Media and Publicity) has condemned the recent killing.

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan condemns Friday night's bombing in the Bayan Gari area of Bauchi State and the recent mass killings in Southern Kaduna.
The President commiserates with all the families who lost loved ones in the heinous attacks and extends his heartfelt sympathies to all those who suffered injuries or lost their properties during the wanton assaults on Bauchi and Kaduna States.
President Jonathan reassures the people of Bauchi and Kaduna State that the Federal Government will continue to take all necessary action to apprehend the perpetrators of thedastardly attacks and restore the fullest possible  security to all parts of the country.
The President directs all relevant federal government agencies to continue to speedily make emergency medical and relief assistance available to all those who were either injured or displaced by recent bombings and attacks.
He urges all Nigerians to give maximum support and cooperation to the Armed Forces and security agencies who continue to work incessantly to end the menace of insecurity in the country within the shortest possible time.

Can you tell us what you are working on at the moment? I am currently working on new singles and shooting the much anticipated video for my single 'Elele' ft. Davido. The song is on my forthcoming Album produced by Selebobo.

What more are we expecting from you this year?

This year you can expect more music from me and collaborations from different African artistes as well as international collaborations. I am also currently shooting for my reality show called ''Emma Nyra 5.0' which is about the life of a female artist on tour. The reality show is set to be released this summer.

Is Praiz altering the king of RnB debate?

 The recent debate on who truly is Nigeria’s king of RnB is set to get even more intense with Praiz’ new pitch, Mercy, hitting the airwaves to rave reviews. The debate was focused on two very talented artistes: Banky W and Darey. However, Praiz, whose mercurial talent was discovered at MTN Project Fame, is set to alter the tone of the debate with his latest work, Mercy, coming in quick succession to his other works.

Mercy is a fast tempo RnB song based on the attraction between a boy and a girl, and how the boy is completely head over heels in love with the girl. The smooth rendition of the lyrics, which takes on a high octave when it gets to the chorus, is one element that sets up this single as a must listen-to. The beat is set to street dance style which is popular among the young and trendy who seem not to be following in the footsteps of their parents love for foreign music. Mercy compares favourably with Banky W’s Jasi and Darey’s Special Fever, the two stars who are reported to be contesting for the title of Nigeria’s king of RnB.

New report-Was missing Malaysian plane accidentally shot down?

President Jonathan speaks on why he is yet to visit Chobok

President Goodluck Jonathan has revealed the reason why he is yet to visit Chibok since the incident of the missing girls occurred.
  According to the president at the press conference of the regional security summit held today in France " I will visit Chibok, no doubt about that but what we are anxious about is to locate them. These girls are not held in Chibok. if the President goes to Chibok today, does that solve the problem?".

Nemesis? Man found dead buried in grave

A 20 year old man identified by residence of Ilobu community in the Irepodun LGA of Osun State, as a member of a gang that has been disturbing the community has been found head
deep in a grave in the early hours of Wednesday
May 14th, after allegedly attempting to cut off the
head of a corpse, buried in Tonto compound in the
area. The suspect who was seen some hhours before his death fighting a lady over an undisclosed matter, was suspected to have gone with his accomplices who fled the scene in terror after seeing half of his body snag mysteriously in the grave.

Police who beat a food vendor arrested

A police officer, Cpl. Mohammed Nasir, who beat up a food vendor some four months ago, has finally been arrested by the police. The officer who pointed his gun at people and also shot in the air goes by the number 229057 is currently being investigated by the police and according to Frank Mba, the FPRO, the outcome of the outcome would be made public in due time.

Robbers raid 8 streets, rape, destroy 30 cars

There were fears and tension in the Mushin area of Lagos State on Monday morning after about 60 robbers operated on no fewer than eight streets and destroyed about 30 vehicles.

Some residents told our correspondent that the robbers also raped some young ladies and operated unchallenged for about seven hours.

The hoodlums, who reportedly belonged to two cult groups – Akala boys and Toheeb’s gang – ravaged New Balogun, Euba, Ayonuga, Tiamiyu, Haruna, Ereko, Oyedele streets and Coker Lane.

A mosque on Coker Lane was not spared as the worshippers, who slept in the mosque after a vigil, were robbed by the hoodlums.

One of the people in the mosque told PUNCH Metro that the robbers fired bullets for over one hour before robbing from house-to-house.

Last week, an upcoming rapper, Neyu Nyan better known as, Godwon, reportedly exposed another rapper who he is having a beef with, Saucekid, now known as Saucekid wanted for ATM theft in the US on twitter. A surveillance, camera, showed the picture of a man, who looked so much like Sinzu but Sinzu, however denied he was the one.
