Tolani Ajayi, a 21-year old student of the
Department of History and International Relations,
Redeemer University, RCCG Camp Ogun State for
killing his father on Tuesday July 3rd.
The shattered body of Barrister Charles Ajayi, 60,
Senior Advocate of Nigeria, was recovered in a
box at a nearby bush at Canaanland Street at the
Redeemed Christian Church of God Camp, Km 46
Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The suspect who is a biological son of the slain
lawyer was arrested same day in his fathers
residence, at the scene of the incident, at about
5:30 p.m. after the discovery of the corpse and

Robbery gang killed victim son 10 years afte

"The man sent us to Abakaliki Prison 10 years ago. After we were released from prison, we came to retaliate. When we got to his house, we thought he was the person we saw sleeping on the bed in his room. We didn’t know it was his son before we shot him. It was a member of my gang who later said it was not Okorie Orie that we killed, that it was his son; we just had to escape from the scene. Later the man we wanted to kill identified us again to the police,” the gang leader, Okereke told the police.

Viewers discretion: Police chased Okada rider, 2 passengers to death

A sad incident occurred earlier today at Awoyaya bustop along Lekki express way, , when an Okada man and his two male passengers were crushed to death while the Okada rider was trying to escape arrest by the police for driving on the express way.
The Okada rider was reported to be on full speed while being chased by a police van collided with a Bus Rapid Transport, BRT which crushed them to death.
The incident led to anger by onlookers and area boys who set the police van on fire. The army had to be called before peace was brought back to the area.

14 year old child bride, Wasila Tasiu, has been charged to court by the Kano State Government.
Wasila, according to information would be tried as an adult for alledgedly killing
husband and three other persons in their home in April.
The 14 year old had confessed that she added poison to the food she prepared which was consumed by her husband and the three others who came on a visit,  to free her from her forceful marriage to her husband.

You gave your father a befitting burial. How did it go?

Everything went fine. We give God the glory. I feel
a sense of relief now. Relief, because the troubles
associated with burial arrangements have been
over. The stress has reduced.
I quit smoking for over five years now, but I
started smoking again about three weeks ago
because I was running mental, preparing for my
father’s rites of passage.
I have had this discussion with him almost a year
ago when I asked him how he would want to be
buried and what would be his expectations.
