With the recent attacks by Boko Haram sect in villages in the North East, thousands of people, especially women and children have now fled from their home to Niger.
According to the information gathered, the refugees are not finding comfort in their move to Niger, has they now live under harsh condition along the road.
Some of the affeced victims of the Boko Haram, attack now live, under trees and cardboard homes.
They have also been living on charity giving to them by the locals and aid organisations..

Man who cut off wife's fingers arrested again for attempted murder
According to the story, Okoli, a police spy and elder of celestial Church of Christ, had kept the sum of #70, 000 at home as part payment of their house rent but could not find it on his return.
When he asked his wife of eighteen years and mother of four about the missing money, she was reported to have responded angrily that she took the money since she was the one who has been taken care off the children.
That did not, however, go down well with Okoli,who brought out his manchete which he used to inflict deep cuts on his wife.
She was rushed to different private hospital but was rejected but later accepted at the Gbagada General Hospital, were she is currently undergoing treatment.
Before the latest incident, Okoli, had earlier cut off his wife fingers during a fight but went back to him.

President Jonathan insists Sanusi is still Gov. of CBN


President Jonathan today, has insisted that suspended Central Bank Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is still the governor of CBN until a new governor is sworn in by the senate. He will also have to await investigation of the fraud allegation level against him.

The peace of Otuoke, hometown of President Goodluck Jonathan in Ogbia local government area of Bayelsa State was Sunday night violated by gunmen who abducted a prominent chief of the community said to be a cousin to President Goodluck Jonathan.Vanguard learnt that the victim, identified as Chief Inengite Nitabai, aged 70 was kidnapped at about 9pm by ten heavily armed men.The kidnapped Chief is described as the traditional head of the compound from which the President hails from, according to a community source.“Nitabai is the cousin of President Goodluck Jonathan, and was kidnapped from his compound located before Otuoke bridge, off Otu-Okpoti-Ogbia Road without a gunshot,” the source said.Nitabai it was further learnt has been acting like a father to the President since Jonathan’s real biological father died. The victim, his wife and his wife’s sister and three of his children were in the house when the assailants stormed the compound.

Some days back, the R&B singer, had announced that he would be donating 100% of the revenue from the sales of his collartune 'Oshe' towards the post-operative care of the baby, who had just had an operation to correct a serious heart condition known as hole in the heart.
Praiz, learnt that, the baby, Somaya Olayinka Dahli, who was operated upon in late 2013, would need futher treatment, monitoring and care to keep her alive and he decided to help.
I say God bless him for his good heart for helping to keep little Somaya alive.
Femi Falana appeals to Gov. Fashola to reduce LASU fees

A human rights lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN), has urged Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State to reduce the fees of the Lagos State University students.
Falana, in a statement on Sunday, commended Fashola for directing the reopening of the university without imposing reparation fees on the students for the repairs of facilities damaged during the crisis which led to the closure of the institution.
The university was shut following the January 23, 2014 students’ protest against hike in fees.
The governor had directed that the university be reopened on Monday (today).
But Falana insisted that the “skyrocketing tuition” imposed on the students could not be justified given the poor economic conditions of many of the students’ parents.

Dokubo Asari granted bail after interrogation by SSS
After his arrest earlier today for interrogation at the Security Service, Niger Delta, militant, Dokubo Asari, has been granted bail. He was arrested after a call was made to the State Security Service by Muslim Right Concern, MURIC, because of his inciting comments that he would make Nigeria ungovernable unless President Jonathan, secure his second term bid.

Hours after the Muslim Rights Concern, Muric, called on security agants to arrest and caution controversial President of the Niger Delta Volunter Force, Mujahid Dokubo- Asari, over his continous inciting comments, the Department of State Security, DSSS, arrested the Niger Delta and he is currently undergoing interrogation.
Dokubo Asari, was arrested today over his statement on Tuesday, that he would make Nigeria ungovernable, if, President Jonathan, do not secure a second term.

At the peak of her career in the 90's, Liz Benson, suddenly went off the scene and just as suddenlyshereappeared in 'Living Funeral' a movie about cancer and all the problems associated with it, whichalso got her a nomination as 'Best Supporting Actress in a Drama in the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards. In this interview with, Abimbola Adebayo, the Nollywood veteran, who is now an evangelist talks about her faith, acting and many more.
Liz Benson (Nee Ameye) metamorphosed into a screen goddess when she played the role of the tough, Mrs Agnes Johnson in the 1993, soap opera, ‘Fortunes’. She was to gain more popularity in the blockbuster movie 'Glamour Girls' a movie about prostitution and all that surrounds it. From there she went on to feature in many other movies but suddenly at the peak of her career as one of the biggest actresses in Nigeria and she disappeared from the big screen to embrace religion but was it a hard decision for her to make judging that she had to leave the glamour and glitz that surrounded her at the time ' To tell you the truth it was not an easy decision to make but I am here today. I leave in Jesse in Delta State, where we have to go out and preach the gospel'.
