House of Rep Crisis: Gbajabiamila proposed as deputy speaker

After many hours, till the early hours of Tuesday , July 28th, 2015 to resolve the the leadership crisis by APC members in the House of Representative, Honourable, Femi Gbajabiamila, has been proposed as the Deputy Speaker as against the Majority leader.


The the resolution was reached by the top hierarchy of the All Progressive Congress. The clause however, is whether the appointed deputy speaker, Yusuf Lasun, would elect to voluntarily step down as the deputy governor.
It also requires two-thirds of the majority of the house to remove Lasun and, that is not visible right now.

Lasun, earlier has vowed not to be forced to step down from his position as the deputy speaker an issue which was not resolved at the end of the meeting in the early hours of today.
As the matter deepens, it is not known if, Gbajabiamila, would be getting any position in the house and that will leave him as just an ordinary member of the house.

Gbajabiamila has been a minority leader of the House of Representative for four times.
