Mugabe who ruled Zimbabwe with an iron fist for three decades passed away at the age of 95, at an hospital in Singapore, where he has been receiving treatment.
Mugabe had once said while he was the president that only God can remove him as the president of Zimbabwe.
But in 2017, members of his own party through a coup d'etat removed him from power and his vice president, Emerson Mnangagwa was made the president.Mugabe has been paving the way for his wife, Grace to succeed him as the president of Zimbabwe.
It would be recalled that Mugabe also fought the West on the gay law in Zimbabwe.
