At the peak of her career in the 90's, Liz Benson, suddenly went off the scene and just as suddenlyshereappeared in 'Living Funeral' a movie about cancer and all the problems associated with it, whichalso got her a nomination as 'Best Supporting Actress in a Drama in the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards. In this interview with, Abimbola Adebayo, the Nollywood veteran, who is now an evangelist talks about her faith, acting and many more.
Liz Benson (Nee Ameye) metamorphosed into a screen goddess when she played the role of the tough, Mrs Agnes Johnson in the 1993, soap opera, ‘Fortunes’. She was to gain more popularity in the blockbuster movie 'Glamour Girls' a movie about prostitution and all that surrounds it. From there she went on to feature in many other movies but suddenly at the peak of her career as one of the biggest actresses in Nigeria and she disappeared from the big screen to embrace religion but was it a hard decision for her to make judging that she had to leave the glamour and glitz that surrounded her at the time ' To tell you the truth it was not an easy decision to make but I am here today. I leave in Jesse in Delta State, where we have to go out and preach the gospel'.

"If Prophet Ajanaku had respected me, he wouldn't have died" - Guru Maharaj Ji


That is exactly what the self procliam messiah said about the late prohet Ireti Ajanaku, who passed away last August in a controversial way. According to, Guru Maharaj ji, in an interview with, City People Magazine, he said that the late Prophet Ajanaku,died because of his disrespect to him by not greeting him when they met in Ibadan sometime ago.
He also went further to talk about what happened to Late Idahosa, when the latter blocked his bus in Benin stating that no one disrespect him and walks without a repercussion
"That is the work of people who wouldn't stop at anything in running you down. Take for instance Olanrewaju Adepoju is one of them, Pastor Ajanaku even Okotie. Many of them who distorted the truth that Maharaj Ji is this and that and they believe in it without even knowing that it is a trap. Even Idahosa, where are they today? Yes they offended the holyspirit that sent me here.

Minister of Avaition attacked by gunmen
The FCT Police Command on Monday in Abuja confirmed that gunmen fired shots at the car of the Minister of Aviation, Ms Stella Oduah in Abuja. The spokesperson of the command, Altine Daniel, told the News Agency of Nigeria that the incident occurred at about 10 p.m. on Friday.
She added that the minister was not in the car when the incident took place.
Ms. Daniel, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, however, said that the incident was reported to the police on Monday at about 5:30 p.m. According to her, some metal objects were found in the vehicle which do not look like the conventional bullet. “The objects will be subjected to ballistic test,” she said. According to her, investigation into the incident has begun.

Jimoh Ibrahim denies arrest over tax evasion

According to Punchng.com
The Chairman of Global Fleets Limited, Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim, was on Monday invited by the Federal Inland Revenue Service to offer explanations about the alleged huge tax liabilities involving his company.
The development was confirmed by the Director, Communications and Liaison Department of the FIRS, Mr. Emmanuel Obeta.
Obeta, who spoke with our correspondent in a telephone interview, stated that contrary to media reports, the businessman was not arrested.
“He (Ibrahim) was invited by the FIRS to come and make some clarifications regarding issues bordering on tax liabilities,” he said.
When asked if Ibrahim was detained, the FIRS director said the businessman was only quizzed and asked to go.
“When you invite someone to come and make explanations and the invitation is honoured, the logical thing to do is to allow the person to go,” he said.
