More than 40 houses and 25 shops have been razed by fire from a petroluem tanker in an incident that occurred yesterday afternoon, Monday April 22 at Omitowoju area of Ibadan, in Oyo State.
The incident occurred when a tanker fully loaded passed through a residential area but skipped off the road spilling its content which erupted in Fire from a local cooking fire.
The raging fire was put out by The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) but were unable to acertain if any life was lost by the fire.
